Dr. Gil Ortiz Mejía
Dr. Cuauhtémoc Gil Ortiz Mejía is a highly trained and experienced neurosurgeon who has dedicated his career to the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. He graduated as a general physician from the National Polytechnic Institute and went on to specialize in Neurological Surgery at the National Institute of Neurology "Manuel Velasco Suarez." He is currently certified by the Council of Neurological Surgery (CONACEM).
Dr. Gil Ortiz Mejía has an extensive experience in the field of neurosurgery, having held a number of academic and clinical positions throughout his career. He served as the Head of Neurosciences at the National Medical Center from October 1, 2017, to November 30, 2022, where he oversaw a team of medical professionals dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. He is also a Professor of the highly specialized course of spinal surgery at the National Medical Center and an Associate Professor.
Dr. Gil Ortiz Mejía is an Honorary Professor of undergraduate internship at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Guerrero. He has also served as a synod of final postgraduate exams and research work tutoring/specialization thesis. He has published numerous articles and interviews on neurosurgery in various indexed publications, as well as presenting papers in specialty conferences and serving as a speaker.
